Summary

Led a small group of my classmates to not only optimize a rocket within tight weight constraints for maximum apogee and stability, but also integrated a successful egg-drop mechanism to ensure the payload remained uncracked upon descent. Learned to operate within design and budget constraints while prioritizing a payload and mission goal. Simulations run in OpenRocket not only guided our design but were ultimately reflected in our tests. Improved delegation facilitated increased efficiency in everything from design to manufacturing, resulting in a successful launch and landing.

Despite the recovery system not deploying as intended, our egg survived and my group earned second place in the competition!
