Summary

An individual project to build, fly, and recover a rocket including at least an H or I impulse class motor. Worked under the loose supervision of an advisor to build my rocket. It was a perfect opportunity to spend more time in the machine shop, greatly helping me to familiarize myself with a variety of tools. I was able to complete manufacturing and assembly before the conclusion of winter quarter, however weather would delay the launch until midway through the spring of 2025.

We drove out to the Mojave Desert to launch at the Mojave Desert Amateur Rocketry Society (MDARS) launch site on May 24, 2025, where I successfully launched and recovered my rocket, earning my L1 certification.

Currently beginning progress on a solid rocket to earn my L2 certification. I want to include some kind of more interesting experimental payload, but have not yet decided on what, hence the delay.
